We are very pleased that Redtenbacher's Funkestra (AKA the Masterlink Sessions house band) have sold…
Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays video ft. Connor Selby

Dear Patreons,
On this boxing day bank holiday we hope that you had a merry Christmas and are looking forward to a spiffing New Year’s Eve!
Just in case you missed this Masterlink All Stars video featuring Connor Selby on guitar and vocals – feel free to have a watch and listen.
This Masterlink Christmas video wasn’t planned at all and it was all very last minute. So a big thank you to all the ace musicians and the team who were willing to jump on board and turn this around in just a few days. We are very grateful and most pleased with the outcome. We probably will ‘bug’ you with this rendition for years to come!
It is too early to say at this point if we can continue with our plans for January and February but we are cautiously optimistic that we can keep the studio open to record, film and stream all the planned music events. We obviously have to be more vigilant still than we have been and are taking the ‘Working safely during COVID-19 in professional workplaces for Music & Video Production (currently on version12)” very seriously. We will keep on checking in with the Music Producers Guild to see if anything is changing.
So what do we have planned for the next two months? Not confirmed yet, but we will continue with our Masterlink Sessions, i.e. the Masterlink house band (aka the Redtenbacher’s Funkestra) and Masterlink Productions (James Welsh) are inviting two different artists to record one song each once a month at the Masterlink Production studio, filmed by Leo Mansell. Dates and artists to be confirmed for January and February.
At the same time we will continue our newly christened Live At Masterlink live streaming activities in cooperation with True-Live, a high quality streaming platform. In case you haven’t seen the previous shows – feel free to watch The Coalminers or Jade Like The Stone post the event.
If all goes well here our next four Live At Masterlink shows:
Fri, 15.1, 20:30 – Connor Selby w/Redtenbacher’s Funkestra
Fri 29.1, 20:30 – Redtenbacher’s Funkestra feat. Tony Remy
Fri 12.2, 20:30 – Nigel Price Quartet
Fri 26.2, 20:30 – Kat Eaton & Band
There are a lot of moving parts at the moment – future regulations, being able to get together and rehearse the music, the health of all participants, etc. However, we like to start with a plan and will adjust according to what live will throw at us. We will share the URLs as soon as they will be set up.
As always, we are super-grateful that you are supporting our activities. We’ve now done the end of year accounts and we are pleased to let you know that your donations have (almost) covered all the food bills for the sessions. Just for your info – food is normally a sandwich or salad with a packet of crisps and a bottle of water for each person. We do allow ourselves the luxury of a tiny box of chocolate as a picker-upper when we have our tea/coffee breaks. We hope you’ll forgive us for this ‘guilty sweet pleasure’.
Your support really does mean a great deal to us and we are looking forward to bringing you more top-notch videos produced with blood, sweat and tears in 2021!
Stay healthy, sane and safe and until next time.
Kind regards, Stefan and the entire Masterlink Sessions team
PS: Looks like our TV episodes will go on regional television in the spring. We will keep you posted with info as available.
